PREPARATION
Please prepare a three (3) minute audition for our production team. You need to prepare a combination of song and appropriate monologue (either comedic or dramatic, depending on the production you are audition for). Prepare sixteen (16) measures of your song. A piano and CD player will be available on site. Participants may bring a CD of music, sing a capella, or may sing from sheet music provided they have their own guest accompanist with them. An accompanist from the staff will not be available. The directing staff does ask that your choice of song be of the style of a 1950s rock & roll number as that best matches the style of music for this production. Classic Broadway style musical numbers will likely not give as best an insight into your performance abilities with respect to this show. At your choice, you may also bring a headshot and resume, though this is not needed. Please bring your appointment calendars on that day so that you are prepared to state any rehearsal conflicts you may anticipate.
SCRIPT PREVIEW
AUGUST 18, 6pm at Club Diversity
Meet the director and the production staff. On this evening, participants will review the Zombie Prom script, learn the characteristics of the show. It is not a requirement to attend this night for auditions, but past participants have found this a particularly useful vehicle as they prepare for the audition.
