The Sondheim musical Follies will close out the celebratory 25th anniversary season of the Senior Repertory of Ohio Theatre Company (SRO), a Columbus-based theatre company specializing in senior adult theatre. Accompanied by a live orchestra, SRO’s all-local cast will perform the signature Sondheim tunes of this seven-time Tony Award-winning musical including "Broadway Baby," "I'm Still Here," "Too Many Mornings," "Could I Leave You?" and "Losing My Mind." Follies plays the Shedd Theatre of the Columbus Performing Arts Center (549 Franklin Ave.) June 4-13. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. There will be one matinee performance on Friday, June 11, at 10:30 am.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (55+), and $10 for students. Tickets for the matinee performance are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or by phone at 614-258-9495 between 10 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday. Seating is general admission.

Set in a crumbling Broadway theatre slated for demolition, Follies focuses on two couples attending a reunion for the "Weismann's Follies," a musical revue which played the theatre between the World Wars. The show is interspersed with ex-showgirls reprising their big numbers, and the atmosphere is heightened by the presence of the ghosts of everyone's former selves, who sometimes sing along, sometimes reenact important events, and sometimes even interact with the present. Towards the end, vaudeville-style numbers reflect the lead characters' emotional troubles before returning to the theatre for the end of the reunion party.

Cast members include:  Damian Jones (Roscoe)  Steven Black (Director/Buddy) Lenore Kaler (Phyllis) Chris Storer (Young Buddy) Chelsea Widner (Young Phyllis) Greg Wyatt (Ensemble) Todd Lemmon (Young Ben)  Danielle Mann (Sally) Liz Wheeler (Young Sally) Ruth Fullen (Emily) Joyce Patrone (Solange) BevPettit (Carlotta)  Joe Bishara (Ben)  Toni Tinsley (Hattie)  Janetta Davis (Stella)  John Schmidt (Theodore)  Sara Bell (Young Heidi) Dawn Farrell (Heidi) Nancy Nocks (Musical Director) Ron Nocks (Weissman)
